The Film Development Council of the Philippines is the official government partner of 66th FAMAS Gabi ng Parangal. FAMAS 2018 is also supported by Victorino's Restaurant, MAC Cosmetics, Aloysius Global, The Theatre At Solaire, Gardenia and PAGCOR.

Placing importance on Filipino documentary films and its impact on not just Philippine cinema but in society, theFilm Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP), through the SineSaysay Documentary Film Lab and Showcase announced its documentary film finalists during a Press Conference last May 7, 2018 in Quezon City.

A restoration of the 1982 French-Filipino film Cinq et la peau (Five and the Skin) starring Gloria Diaz, Bembol Roco, Philip Salvador and Joel Lamangan will be screened at Cannes Classics in the 71st Cannes Film Festival on May 14, 2018. The whole film was entirely shot in the Philippines and was featured in the Cannes' Un Certain Regard 36 years ago.

The 66th FAMAS AWARDS GABI NG PARANGAL recognizing achievement in Filipino movies produced in 2017 is scheduled to take place on Sunday, June 10, 2018, at The Theatre at Solaire.

Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) is bringing two restored classics, Ishmael Bernal's “Himala” and Marilou Diaz Abaya’s “Moral”, to be showcased in the special restored classics featured of the Far East Film Festival in Udine, Italy this April 26-27, 2018. This is in celebration of the Philippines as the Country of Focus this year’s Festival and the One Hundred Years of Philippine Cinema.
